Supply Chain Specialist - Bagged Feed Ingredients & Outside Manufactured Feeds

Position Overview:
The Supply Chain Specialist ensures Cargill Animal Nutrition’s US feed mill locations have an acceptable supply of bagged feed ingredients (used to manufacture the finished animal feed: namely vitamins, minerals, preservatives, etc.) and outside manufactured feeds. This is accomplished by taking into account current inventory levels, future usages, and transit times from various suppliers in order to operate the supply chain most efficiently. In order to successfully accomplish these tasks, this position must work closely with our procurement team, feed mill locations, suppliers and carriers.

· Maintain appropriate inventory of bagged ingredients and outside manufactured feeds.
· Complete quarterly evaluations on plant inventory levels and use of working capital.
· Reduce/eliminate ingredient outages at the plant.
· Work with procurement team to ensure preferred suppliers are utilized.
· Update bag ingredient and outside manufactured feeds pricing monthly.
. Importing/exporting of ingredients worldwide-responsible for the coordination of import, export and domestic logistics.
