Pilgrim’s Pride is seeking a Procurement Service Specialist for our Dallas, TXlocation.

Primarily responsible for ongoing local management of programs surrounding the procurement of materials and services. Includes, but not limited to, projects bidding, expediting shipments, managing receiving, monitoring backorders, and vendor analysis.

* Requisition monitoring (material numbers, description, planning, etc)
* Tracking of backorders and open order follow-up
* Internal customer liaison for the Procurement Department
* First line quality monitoring (on behalf of vendor certification)
* Supervise receiving partners and manage processes at all complex locations and outlying locations
* Local SAP trainer/support to material management related partners
* Material Master support
* Inventory assistance and reporting
* Manage local service requirements (work with Capital Buyer for projects)
* Primary contact for conflict resolution
* Vendor setup determination and submission
* Regularly scheduled meetings/interaction with all local operational management
* Assist in developing, transitioning to, and measuring global inventory strategies
* Maintain and report process efficiency metrics as assigned or deemed necessary
* Responsible for making capital purchases


Basic Qualifications:
• 3-5 years related experience
• Ability to travel locally as needed
• Must have excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Internet Explorer)
SAP software experience preferred
• Must have excellent business machine skills (computer, multi-line phone, fax, copier, scanner, etc)
• Confidentiality is a must.
• Must be able to meet critical deadlines, prioritize, and practice excellent time management skills
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal relation skills, being able to work with all levels of management
• Highly motivated, self starter, able to prioritize projects, accept responsibility and follow through without close supervision.

Educational Requirements: High School Diploma/GED; College degree preferred, related job experience considered.
