full time Maintenance Supervisor

at Cargill in IN - Indianapolis, US

Position Overview:

This position is responsible for maintenance and reliability of the Indianapolis Mill facility (including the boiler and other utilities) and responsible for purchasing/receiving of all supplies and repair parts. This position is also responsible for contract labor used to maintain the plant and oversight of $2MM+ operating budget. This is the lead naintenance and reliability position for this facility.

Principal Accountabilities:

25% – Supervision and coaching of maintenance craftspersons and contractors, annual reviews and job skill enhancement training program
20% – Troubleshoot and problem solving of equipment and process failures by working with production/maintenance teams and utilizing root cause analysis
30% – Build preventive/predictive maintenance program
10% – Complete all Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities
15% – Manage R&M, contract labor and professional services budget

Qualifications

Required:

* Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical discipline OR six years equivalent maintenance experience * Minimum 3+ years maintenance management, engineering or production management * Ability to develop and manage good working relationships with internal departments (production, logistics, accounting), contractors, suppliers, inspectors and customers * Working knowledge of predictive maintenance technology (vibration, oil, infrared, ultrasonic analysis, etc) * Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to speak candidly and provide constructive feedback. * Ability to apply Cargill’s policies and procedures in the areas of safety and environmental * Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude

Preferred:

* SMRP and/or CMRP certification
